When power only makes sense
Guide · 2 min read
Power only means you supply the trailer and we supply the tractor and a qualified driver. It works best when:
- You run a drop trailer program. Preloaded trailers sit at your dock and get picked up on your schedule, so the dock is never waiting on a truck.
- You need surge capacity. Peak season, a missed truck or a big promotion can outrun your own fleet. Power only adds trucks without adding trailers.
- Trailers are in the wrong place. Repositioning empties or moving trailers between yards is classic power-only work.
What to have ready: the trailer number and its exact location, a trailer interchange agreement if your company uses one, registration in the trailer, and the seal and paperwork process for preloaded trailers.
Before every hook, our driver does a pre-trip on your trailer: lights, tires, brakes, doors and registration. If something is not road-ready, you hear about it before the trailer leaves the yard, not from an inspector down the road.
